As founder of Buccino & Associates Inc. and one of few founders of the Turnaround Management Association, Jerry Buccino is considered one of the deans of turnaround management. For more than 30 years, he has consulted with CEOs, boards of directors, lenders, creditors, and other economic stakeholders on turnaround strategies to improve cash flow and enterprise values. His business experience and comprehensive understanding of the turnaround process has led to an array of successful business turnarounds and reorganizations.

Christopher L. Picone—President and General Counsel Download Bio
Following a 30 year legal and business career, Chris Picone brings significant experience to Buccino in financial restructurings, operations, turnaround situations, bankruptcy, litigation support matters, real estate development, construction and asset management. After a decade of private law practice, Mr. Picone served as COO/General Counsel for several top Chicago real estate development and construction firms, as well as one of the nations largest, privately held real estate brokerage firms.

Mark E. Baumgarten—Senior Associate
With over 25 years of residential real estate experience in single family, multi-family and mixed use, Mark has been involved in all facets of the real estate development process from feasibility, entitlements, financial modeling, affordable housing, product-design, execution (sales, marketing, and construction) to disposition. Throughout this experience, he has established and managed internal operating systems and processes while overseeing individual projects ranging in size from $10.0 million to over $200 million. Mark’s project experience spans multiple markets: Illinois, Colorado, Missouri, Michigan, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Utah, Florida, and California.

Robert M. Blumenfeld—Advisor
"Bobby" Blumenfeld is a respected industry veteran having worked with over 450 domestic and international businesses providing restructuring, turnaround, workout, mediation and arbitration services, strategic consulting, capital raising and acting as CRO (Chief Reconstructing Officer). His vast experience includes a cross-section of US industries, including: retail, manufacturing, financial services, apparel and many more. He is currently President of the New York Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and on the Executive Board of ACG Global.

James J. Dietrich—Senior Associate
Jim is an experienced turnaround professional with over 30 years of business management and consulting experience with public and privately held companies. He has strong experience in operations, profitability improvement, strategic planning, financial management, mergers and acquisitions, creditor issues, labor negotiations, and bankruptcy estate administration.

Dominic Forte—Senior Associate
Dominic has over 25 years of broadly-based business experience, including overseeing and turning around large manufacturing operations, evaluating and repositioning real estate holdings of cash-strapped companies, resolving significant environmental liabilities, initiating production cost-cutting measures to increase margins or immediately reduce operating losses, analyzing capital expenditures and negotiating capital contracts, implementing efficient energy plans, procuring debtor-in-possession financing and working closely with manufacturing line-personnel to improve operating efficiencies.

William McMahon is a senior financial executive with over 25 years of experience combining tactical financial expertise with a strong strategic and operations background, including P&L management with a record of reversing financial declines and implementing significant cost reductions. Bryan is an experienced turnaround professional with 25 years of professional management and consulting experience including change management, profitability and operational improvement, inventory management, logistics, and financial controls.

Ronald G. Quintero—Senior Associate
Ron Quintero has more than four decades of experience in a broad range of activities in connection with mergers and acquisitions, valuations, bankruptcy and restructuring, and expert testimony. During Mr. Quintero’s career, he has performed more than 1,000 valuations of businesses, financial instruments, and intangible assets, and other assets and liabilities. He has provided financial advisory services to several hundred clients representing nearly every major industry.  Ron is also an award-winning lecturer, writer, and scholar. Mr. Quintero has served on the boards of directors of public, private, and nonprofit organizations as member or advisor and has testified as an expert witness on more than 50 occasions in courts throughout the United States.

Judith E. Ruffolo—Associate
With over 25 years of property and project management under her belt, Judy is at home with commercial real estate issues. Her impressive track record with construction, renovation, security and environmental projects opened the door for her as Vice President of Office Services for the largest independent real estate firm in Chicago. Her considerable skill in commercial leasing negotiation, due diligence, and asset management matters have made her most welcome at Buccino.

David J. Schadler —Senior Associate
David Schadler is a seasoned financial executive with over 30 years of experience in Business Operations (Accounting, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Technology)  and Financial Management (Analysis, Budgeting, Benefit Plans, Expense Reduction and Treasury) with a heavy emphasis on cost containment, cash management and financial/profitability analysis.  Mr. Schadler is a highly motivational leader and has a long history of developing strong management teams across the various business functions.  During Mr. Schadler's career, he has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of a $500 million business, has worked as an internal corporate financial consultant with a large multinational holding company and was employed as a senior outside auditor for one of the largest accounting firms in the country.  He has an undergraduate degree in Accounting, a graduate degree in both Finance and Management and is a CPA.

Carrie L. Smith—Associate
Having graduated Cum Laude from Robert Morris University on a full volleyball scholarship, Carrie's self-discipline and commitment have never been in doubt. Her multitasking talents run the gamut from administrative duties to financial recordkeeping to senior level documentation maintenance to productivity reporting to marketing and advertising orchestration to Human Resources processing. On her break, she manages the Buccino website.
